Location is the central issue for GOLD to go® ATM’s. The proper selection of location is critical for the common success of franchisee and franchisor. Locations of preference are at airports, hotels, shopping centers, casinos, cruise liners and also in banks and jeweler shops – places with large attendance, an attractive environment and high security standards (surveillance cameras, not reachable by heavy vehicles etc.).

The licensee decides on their location preferences within framework of the requirements of the licensor. There are some mandatory conditions – they must be met – and some, which can – in case of non-compliance – be compensated for by the fulfillment of other, particularly favorable conditions. The proper combination of the various criteria will determine the pros and cons of the location’s qualification.

• location must have special security (camera surveillance, security service, or likewise)
• electric power supply
• UMTS accessability or ISDN connection
• not reachable by heavy vehicles (trucks)
• easily accessible for service personnel

These criteria are subject to evaluation:

• high attendance by passers-by (based on airport measurements)
• in view of passers-by
• in view of other facilities (vending machines, shops)
• in view of resting areas (seating)
• cultivated environment (condition of facilities, cleanliness)
• mid-range to high purchasing power level of clientele
• opportunity of individual advertisement at/close to installation location
• extended daily accessibility for clientele
