In addition to the system center, the GOLD to go® franchisees and the area developers take over the most important functions within the franchise system. For this reason, they must meet special requirements. The following criteria determine their eligibility:
- high self-reliance and cooperation skills
- entrepreneurship
- business experience
- market sensitivity and customer focus
- interest in the structure and development of the gold market
- willingness to enter a long-term contract
- willingness to complete the trainings on offer
- sufficient equity capital
- if you think that simply joining the successful GOLD to go® trademark is sufficient, without exhibiting high willingness to perform, creativity and entrepreneurial thinking and acting
- if the requirements regarding the equity capital cannot be fully supplied on one’s own account
- if you are not willing to bear business risks
- leadership qualities
- willingness to travel
- practical experience in the field of cost management
- the required equity capital determined by the mutually agreed first year aim should be fulfilled entirely on one’s own account
- willingness to appear as an advertiser
Personal conversations are the best way to get to know each other. If – after the first conversation – mutual interest remains, the applicant will be invited to a try-out training at the system center and in its course will gather important experience that will help them determine, if their plan is actually the best thing for them to do. At the same time, GOLD to go® will get to know them better. Subsequently there will be a number of further conversations. The following example roughly shows the proceedings used in selecting future system partners:
- First contact with the system center (directly or via other franchisee/area developer)
- Mailing of application documents including first info file (franchise project etc.) by GOLD to go®
- Phone contact for discussion of questions followed by mailing of the franchise or area developer application or invitation to an information day
- Info-day: presentation of the franchise system; applicant determines if their plan is the best thing for them to do
- Completing the information from the franchise or area developer application
- Invitation to further conversations: determining location preferences
- Check of creditworthiness, business license, location check, determining financing options

After the signing of the franchise contract or the area developer contract, respectively, the GOLD to go® system center will support the new system partner in drawing up business plans etc.
